NEWS today (via email):

How did Qatar get back?

After Qatar bodybuilding federation was banned for 18 months cause one of their bodybuilders failed the doping test in the 2007 Asian bodybuilding Championship; the officials of Qatar federation tried their best to solve the problem but cause Bahrain had already paid more money than Qatar to Paul Chua in 2007and made promises to pay more in the upcoming World championship in Bahrain, Paul refused to reinstate the Qatar team.

Later on; the Qatar officials paid a visit to Rafael Santonja and presented all the money transactions & telex transfer to Mr. Chua in the previous years and explained the situation.

The result was that Paul Chua was forced to reinstate the whole team; including the doped athlete who on the other hand did two sanctioned shows without adhering to the rules and who was banned for life initially.

Paul was interrogated by the Interpol and went to prison for six days in that process.  Words are out that he will be removed soon; or so to say will retire.

Another Paul Chua Scandal

The Bahrain bodybuilding federation has been in very good terms with Paul Chua; in other words has been paying him generously.

After one of their athletes tested positive in the last world bodybuilding championship and despite the two years banned that he was sentenced after the B sample test; Bahrain was able to get their athlete back through the influence of Chua by referencing to a test sheet from a lab in Belgium that was so called “WADA approved lab for testing supplements” and proclaiming that the supplement that was taking was contaminated with a banned substance.

In the attachment you can see that the only WADA certified lab is the lab in Gent University; which the Director himself denied all the statement referencing to his lab.  IFBB has signed an agreement to follow the WADA rules but so far with Chua in the equation, it is not happening

Let me elaborate on this matter.

How long did you think Qatar was going to be banned?  They have paid so much and do you think just because your country will host the show and promised to give away incentives they can outdo Qatar?

The Qatar Olympic committee has an open budget from the ruler himself.  So funds were never an issue.  It is the officials that want to cut the cost to get a bigger share of the stake.

Lets revise history a bit to show Qatar’s power against your country.  In 2003 They brought Kamal from an African country and made him an Asian to do the Asian shows and the world under the membership of Asia.

This is a guy from NABBA who was converted to the IFBB during the reign of Wayne DeMillia.  He did the Night of Champions 2003 which all knows was DeMillia show.  And didn’t place in the top 15.  he went furious at that show and shouted on Wayne for not judging fairly.

At that stage he was an athlete who was very close to being suspended.  Then Qatar stepped in and brought him back to the amateurs and did the Asian championship and world championship in the same year.  During the world; he failed the test so did Ali Tabrizi, they were banned for two years, yet were allowed to do the Asian championship in your country after less than a year.

How did all of that happen?  Money.  Nothing more nothing less.  It’s all about the Benjamins

The bodybuilder from your county failed the test because it was screened through various parties from different continents.  So it could not be covered but you were very well able to get him back for this year.  Which means banning him didn’t really affect anything.  Subtracting the technicality of the matter; He tested positive yesteryear but will do the show again thins year.  So that didn’t bother him what so ever.  So Bahrain got a good return on what they gave Chua.

Paul Chua was informed that Bahrain bodybuilding federation will not be receiving the US$800,000 that they requested to host the show.  So all that paul got so far is US$20,000 as a sanction for hosting the show.  So he has to have a backup plan where he can assure some income this year.

I know Chua very well and his time is up.  He is even being attacked by some IFBB vise presidents cause of his acts.  He is a good man but the judging has gone out of the judges’ control in the past several years.

Hope no one get offended by what was written here.
