Have a look at what Ronnie Coleman had to do here in Brazil, this week (last sunday, may 1st):

Ridiculous things like this will never grant the sport some respect!

thats not sad, he has a room full of latin women screaming for him, he's 44 years old, his BAD ARM is still bigger than jay cutler's best arm, he has a good sense of humor, plays to the crowd and he's having a good time.

Well, that's a very patronized version of a major circus act that asshole host put Ronnie through. The BSN honcho in Brazil, Rich Vilella (the big, bald white guy - he's responsible for all the BSN operation in here) organized Ronnie's part at that show. And F.Y.I., that show is the second top ratings TV shows on Sundays here in Brazil, so his audience was on the 6 figure mark. Nice to know that Ronnie played ' monkey see, monkey do' for a big audience not familiar with bodybuilding per se, eh?! Maybe the audience of that show is thinking right now that every bodybuilder is only capable of lifting 4 bitches on a pole and nothing else? Have you ever seen Helio Castroneves teaching driving lessons on TV? Or LeBron James showing how you do a proper slamdunk on David Letterman's Late show?

yes, but you're missing the fact that bodybuilders are known for their muscles and people want to see those in action, not hear them talk. Its especially true in latin american countries where spectacle reigns supreme.

2.Ronnie was even funny when he couldn't understand a word, standing up when those guys tried to lift him was good

3.He measured his left arm (the massively injured one right?) while Ronnie was 80% flexing and got 55cm...thats impressive, especially considering he was pretty lean in the arms there.

4.He looks BIG!

I think that it might not be the best promotion, allot due to Ronnie not speaking Spanish/Portuguese but not that bad overall. It seemed that they crowd and the chicks really like him.

Not much of a diffrence for the average folk seeing it although,

98 form: Tiny waist and people will just think omg we're looking at a comics charchter.

i agree with you, but what do you expect??? this is not dreamland....we have thank the fact that Ronnie showed on one of the most viewed TV shows in brazil, on a sunday...this is great, even it if is not what he deserved...

I watched it, skipped through it a little bit
and I thougth it was great. He was funny, confident
and was on mainstream T.V.

The whole BBing thing is about being a freak anyway.

Ronnie was a good sport.

Also, anyone who has been in show business knows that
other countries percieve stars differently.

When I played with Lita Ford in the early 90's, you
should see some of the shit she had to go through in
