Bigger, Stronger, Faster THE MOVIE
« on: June 06, 2008, 08:40:39 PM »
Who saw it and what did you think.
It was very informitive and for a docummentory
it was damn good work.
This is a movie everyone should see.

I do have to say 1 thing though that really pissed me off.
Steve Hooten
A high school ball player about 17 years old.
He killed himself and the parents blammed it on steroids.
He said I knew he was takeing them and it was the steroids that killed him.
WTF
You let your kid live in your house, disrespect you, and you turn the other cheek.
He kills himself and you blame roids.
Lets not mention he was on an anti depressnt called lexapro.
Someone didnt read the warnings on the bottle.
I was so pissed I almost dropped a note in daddy hootens mailbox BUT
Restaint.
It pisses me off how stupid people are reguarding steroids.
Google steroids deaths and research.
Dont have to be a rocket scientist or have a PHD
to see there is no evidence that points to steroid related deaths.
People have actually asked me if I inject steroids does it actually give you
a feeling like you want to kill someone.
I just told them just stupid people.
Anyway
Good movie and many props for makeing this.

Steroids really need to go away, sadly first this week it was Dave J who passed away, and now you bring this up, it just goes to show, so many negatives with steroids, we need more legislation to outlaw them so much that no one will even think of touching them.  I believe they turn you into a killer.

I respect your opinion and I agree with you partly.
I agree on regulation but not extention.
Even though steroids have caused legal issues in my life
it is better to take then than to be in constant back and neck pain.
Also I don't have to down 10 vicodins a day to live.

If you are truly looking at 99 years in prision, why in the world would you care about a movie? One would think that you would be looking for wiggs and trying to collect old debts

I havent seen it, but tell me this.

If some one who was very against steroids and felt they were very dangerous like heroin and other drugs, would they be very surprised by what they see and hear in the movie? Would it be enough to change the way they see them? I personally hope it does.

No doubt about it...

yes, steroids are very good for you, everyone should be taking them. ::) ::)

The movies isnt saying that. As ive heard it is "right down the middle", doesnt take any sides, just the facts. Not everyone should take them, but a steroid user shouldn't be seen and treated like a heroin user.
No doubt about it...

GEE JSTUNAMI...Thats quite a mind you have there....

A hand full of people are killed every year with steroids being the suspect even though the persons are also on Anti Depressants which are known to cause hallucinations, psychotic episodes, homicides, suicides. What I don't understand with the people who think like yourself is the fact that 500,000 are killed every year in accidents, fights, attacks and poisonings due to ALCOHOL yet no one says a thing. The beer and spirit manufacturers lobby politicains heavily so no one DEMONIZES that industry...as a matter of fact that industry as you all to well know is heavily promoted. Add to that industry CIGARRETTS which kills MILLIONS WORLD WIDE EVERY YEAR...Is anyone speaking negatively of cigarettes? NOPE. And if it were not for the high price people would engage in smoking despite their chances at death and cancer and the FDA, CDC, NIH and all of the other so called watch dog agencies would not say a word about it. Why does the tobbacco industry get away with this??? becasue they lobby these crack pipe politicians.

YOU ARE BEING DISTRACTED WITH NONSENSE AGAIN...It is only because the sports industry refuses to lobby the scumbag politicians that they launch these attacks on the sports industry and the drug industry in an attempt to get them to PAY UP!!!
