i feel tangible investments are the best way to go at this time as the dollars worth continues to drop.

so i would try to have my money in metals, farm land etc and not have alot of money in the bank which could be losing its value almost daily for instance yesterday it was down .69 to 72.34

If it's less than a 100k, you're ok.  FDIC will protect you if your bank goes belly-up.  If your bank is too big for FDIC to protect, you're fucked regardless. Unless you converted all your money into oil barrels you stashed somewhere.
