What was it about?
Supposedly 'based on a true story'.
Two young lovers leave a party to go spend the night at his parents' summer home, which looks like nothing more than an average, though somewhat isolated residence in the semi-rural South. At 4am, there's a knock at the door.
"Is Tamara here?" asks a young woman.
They'd opened the door to her with very little hesitation. When they tell her she has the wrong house, she asks, "Are you sure?" They tell her that they are certain that no Tamara lives there and the girl says "See you later" and walks off.
A short time later, Liv Tyler's character, Kristen, notes that she's out of cigarettes and her boyfriend decides to drive back to town to get some. She doesn't want him to go, but he insists on taking the drive to clear his head. It was supposed to have been a romantic getaway celebration, but she'd rejected his request of marriage at the party, so that's supposed to be the justification for his leaving her there alone.
When he's been gone about 20 minutes, there's another knock on the door. "Is Tamara here?"
"You already came by here."
Understandably creeped out, Kristen calls James on the house phone, because her cell was dead. She asks him to stay on the phone with her until he gets back...
...and then the phone goes dead.
