when will USA use standard unit instead of imperial?

everytime when folks post their measurement in ft, lb, inch, i have to do the conversion.

just curious, when will the whole USA adopt the standard unit, the whole world are using it now.

I remember NASA learned an expensive lesson and are now using Metric.
