Dave Bourlet - How about a little respect for him
« on: June 09, 2008, 01:07:34 PM »
Dave doesn't get the respect round here that he deserves 8)

He is all about the fans and takes great photos to keep everyone updated on the Champ's (Cutler) progress and the venice beach lifestyle.

True Rags to Ritches story as well.....he had a dream just like Arnold

"When DAVE BOURLET took over the Max Muscle Venice store from former owners FLEX WHEELER and ROBIN CHANG on July 1, 2004, it was the culmination of years of work and some California dreamin'. The Montreal native had uprooted his stakes to pitch a tent on North America's left coast 11 years earlier, with a gauzy vision of a life in bodybuilding and $150 in his pocket.

Through a little persistence and a bit of luck, Bourlet got himself an entry-level position with Max Muscle corporate soon after relocating. By 1997, he had earned himself a salaried position. By the time he took over the now-independent Venice store, he had become the regional manager of 10 Max Muscle franchises, including Venice. The rest, as they say, is history."

Dave seems like a nice guy...WHY THE HATE?

He could stand to learn a thing or two from Zone Capone the master and overlord of Swedish bodybuilding and supplement shop managing.

Dave catches heat for being somewhat of a one-sided jay Cutler supporter.

But after ragging on the guy for 5 years, he's been a good sport.  Gives it and takes it. I like the guy.

I think he's more on flexonline these days.  Would be good to see him on getbig more.

Dave is fast making the MaxMuscle store the new Mecca of bodybulding in Venice, CA. He's one of the most honest and genuine people you can meet in this business. The haters have nothing better to do.

Dave mailed me a free max muscle t-shirt back in... um... 2006?

I still have it, it's still in great shape.   A good guy.

maybe Dave should learn not to behave this way if he wants more respect in the future:

by the way, I visited Dave's shop in Venice beach once. It it a nice little place.

"Kills" back? Why do bodybuilders always use words like, "destroy," hammer," demolish," or "blast," when describing a work out?

Why can't they just say, "I am going to work back?" Does it make them feel more hardcore to use the words described above?

True, but there's conditioned behavior in any scene, like certain words, gestures, do's & don'ts, etc...

What are specific conditioned behaviors that exclusively tend to be displayed by tennis players?
