This game should be amazing.

I'll be interested to see if it's the console seller they're predicting.  As  great as MGS3 was, it wasn't considered a console seller - I think it only sold about 3 or so million copies.

i saw some trailers yesterday, and it looks fucking amazing.

What I'm curious about, though, is if they're are enough PS3s sold to make the game wildly successful, sales wise.  If only 3 mil copies of MGS3 were sold on the PS2, which had an insane amount of units sold, those same %'s applied to the PS3 would make the sales poor.

I'm hoping poor numbers will force a port to the 360.

i don't have a PS3 as well (yet).

MGS is a game that sells over a longer period of time, it's sort of a must-have of video games and will be a reason to buy a PS3 for many.

MS is buying all the games but square enix will realize that their rpgs will not sell on the box and they will quickly port them to the ps3

another example:ninja gaiden 2 sold only 30.000 copies...if that game would have been released on the ps3 i bet they would have sold over 300.000 in japan

The numbers haven't been updated lately, but Japan was third in MGS3 and 2 sales behind Europe and the US.
