I would never call my girl an idiot, she is awesome.
If my girl would do something wrong, like buying crap from Ikea
it is because she don't know better.

I would just explain to her where she can buy good furniture.
She will understand, and she will go there instead.

Teach her what to do, where to go, how to eat, train etc.
Don't point fingers and blame, try appreciate.

Better than Scandia and A LOT cheaper.  I let my daughter go get me a desk once with my credit card.  I said pick out a nice one.  She did alright.  It cost $4,000 and it only had two drawers.  For a piece of artwork it was great but it was a shitty desk.  Don't worry I took it back and bought a little cheaper one ($2200) but at least it worked as a desk

I had a desk designed once that was a 4' x 8' piece of solid granite with ruff cut edges.  It was 1 1/2" thick and had a 3/8" thick 2" wide bar glued around the bottom edges.  It was going to be suspended from the ceiling with thin cables on each corner.  So it would be floating.  All the electrical would go through the cables.  A couple holes were drilled in it for the cords and cables from the computer and phone.  It was really neat.  My friend who does that kind of work was going to make it for me.  Stuntmovie remember my coffee table and end tables at my condo.  He made those too.  The coffee table was $6,000 it was really nice.  I like stone work.  My new place I am not sure stone will look good so I may have to design another desk.
