I'm telling you bro, I stopped competing 5ish years ago because I realized that no matter what, I'd never get a pro card, and I have good genetics.
I honestly believe that your sentence should read "with the right training, diet, drug regime i believe 1 in 1000 could reach national level npc respectability"
And I'm saying it from experience.
Had I chose to push it, I believe I could have reached the bottom of the pack of a quality lineup national show as a lightheavy/heavy.
And that was not something I wanted to believe at the time.
Think about how often you see someone in person who really really blows you away with their COMPLETE physique.
Its not that often.
well we'll have to disagree then, but i leave you with this, if genetics are so important why is it that every study with steroids shows increases in muscle mass? despite being done on subjects with aids, muscular dystrophy, etc? surely these are not all genetic marvels?
as gh15 says if the gear is real pharma grade and calories are high enough there is no reason a tyical guy can't get to 220ish depending on height and proper training, then up another 30-40lbs when insulin-gh is added.
as for sava, either he was lying about the amount he took, used fake gear, or didn't eat enough.
as for you i believe you think you did everything right, but perhaps you didn't or had fake gear or under estimated your calories.
the top 5-15 at the mr o were once standard looking guys, big, etc but it wasn't untill the learned the right prep that they became mr o material.
your right i don't see people who blow me away with a complete physique often, but i believe its because bodybuilding is a dark art when it comes to diet, prep and drug usage, not gear as much as insulin/gh/igf1/t3, etc etc
these monsters have found out these dark secrets, and applied them diligently, eating every 3 hours, never missing training, combining drugs/disages and peptides correctly etc etc.
its complicated but not impossible.
and i honestly believe any average guy could be as big as a mr o top 5-15 if he had all the above knowledge and if he had the dedication.
