Anybody Remember this Classic Monster?(Part 2)
« on: June 17, 2008, 04:02:46 PM »
It has come to my attention that some of you may not be aware of one of the legends of the bodybuilding message board world, many will know the name Chad Mower but maybe you are not so familiar with the freakish 128lbs of muscle that he carried on his jockey like frame. Whilst many of his later photos have been posted in recent times, some of his classic earlier work has remained under lock and key in the vaults of bodybuilding's murky past for some time now, I give you...Chad Mower.

Oh no my friend, this was serious.

Indeed, the Mower movement had become a phenomenon right before our very own eyes.  What started out as a group of young, all-American, frat boys laughing over stupid pictures on a few bodybuilding boards had, in time, outgrown even their wildest expectations.

Soon, those same pictures you see above had fueled a campaign that had become bigger than many message boards all together.  For years, 2 to be exact, everyone rode the Mower express.  We even went corporate and began what was known as TEAM MOWER.

Before Chad Mower knew it, he had become an Internet legend, granted such privileges as the ability to work out free at any gym nation wide, moreover he even had women throwing themselves at him left and right at fitness expos.  It was a fine time in bodybuilding, a much more innocent time when these boards had an idea of what a true bodybuilding idol was all about.  It was also the original team of teams.  From Team Mower, we then had members that spawned their own teams, such as the Squad and Team McFarland and a whole array of other teams.

A great time in bodybuilding history indeed.. ::Cue Coldplay's Viva La Vida::

I would wager several of my getbig millions that he moved there because Jenny Beast lives there, that is a classic Mower move...

P.S. Check out the background of that photo for a suprise...!
