I wouldn't go that far.  A 10 or 20 point difference doesn't mean much, but someone with an IQ say in the 130's is able to understand things far better than someone with an IQ say in the 80's.  These two groups of people are so different in the way their minds operate they really can't even relate very well to one another.

What I find amusing is this:  since the median IQ is 100, and half the people should be below this mark while half are above, and while 2/3 of the population should be between 85 and 115, every time someone reports their IQ on Getbig it's always 120 or better (160 if you're Jag and you really wanna go for broke).  It's the "internet millionaire" thing all over again.

Of course, mentioning your IQ all the time = worthless. But that does not help Debussey, who has an IQ of 53

149 when i was five on that goofy little blocks text. then at somewhere around 160-162 when i was sixteen. funny thing is, i never get much above 120 or so when i take one of those online tests. so who knows what my score ACTUALLY is.

i just think bringing up your own is like popping out your SAT score. means you're at a point where you're hoping that a score on a test is the be all and end all.

In almost every instance, it's tacky to play the IQ or SAT card.

Sorta like, "I drive a 2008 blah-blah-blah, what do YOU drive?" 

If you really want to see what you're made of, compare MCAT and LSAT scores.

Most internet tests = bogus.

A professionally administred IQ test, the Mensa admissions test or the online Mensa tests are good IQ tests that gives a reliable score.
