One punch from Tyson would of knocked Chris unconcious. Hit him in the right spot and he might of been killed.
But Boxers are useless if you use a lot of kick like K1 or ground skill like Vale todo.
Cormier has stronger power and did wrestling. I dont know who could win if they fought seriously.

After watching a documentary about Tyson, I was surprised to see he's really fairly intelligent.  Uneducated, obviously, but sharp as a tack and seemingly kind-hearted to many people.

He wouldn't have blown 400 million if he were "fairly intelligent"

Yeah, that's the story. Apparently Mike was joking around. I don't blame Chris for not wanting to get into it with Tyson, obviously. But if it did come to full engagement, and Cormier didn't lose his head with the reputation that comes with Mike, I believe he could have at least neutralized much of what Tyson could dish. Again, as long as he could avoid direct-to-the-head shots. Chris is a strong dude. Coupled with aggression and an ability to remain relatively calm, the fight wouldn't have been a given.

LMAO!  oh brother  ::)
just not good enough

In other words, Tyson can't help it that you're such a cold fruit, Camel Jockey.  He follows his heart with some people, and it cost him a shitload of money.

Besides being quite sharp witted, his emotional intelligence in fact seems to be very strong.

I stand by my posts. Tyson was (still is, relatively-speaking) a brutal pugilist, but if confronted with a massively strong, huge and aggressive challanger in what would essentially be a street fight, I don't believe the outcome would be all-too obvious.

This is with the understanding that the opponent could, again, avoid direct blasts to his melon. Keep away from those damn hands, man. With distance or no distance (no hand proximity), there'd be a fight happening.

Clash of the titans.

against a world class light flyweight maybe against a hugeman 64, 275lb e.g, trained to an extent amateur stands a change, a small chance providing he is not hit, even once. If he is its all over. Ig he gets him to ground then the big guy will alwyas have advantage

I am friendly with many boxers and particularly the light ones their speed and strength is phenomenal

This a a flyweight the shitty quality of the camera phone does not show the speed or power. this is him cruising not going full whack. Both men in this vid were irish champions at light flyweight/flyweight. The one holding the pads was also the 2006 UK BFL champion

Let me assure you when these men hit they hurt. their speed is unreal

Actually, in a bar fight, and if Chris could keep from having holes punched in him, a guy as strong as Cormier would stand a chance.

actually, you're a retard.

next time before spouting off, instead of watching UFC in your tapout gear, wondering what it would be like to get in a fight to begin with, try it out before posting this kind of stupidity.

in that kind of environment, cormier would be at an even greater disadvantage.

hope this helps, dana white.

I think you've already lost credibility on such claims when you said you could get "pretty darn close" to the size of a larger IFBB pro naturally.

esp. bare knuckle, without the protection of 16oz. gloves

Contrary to what you might think the gloves make it worse. That's an extra 1lb of force over a greater surface area you're getting hit with.

In retrospect he didnt look pro size in the pic. Looked huge tho attainable. Im also very tall with large structure.

BIG DUB..pressure is force over are i think...less area same force = more pressure = more damage done

and methyltrienolone maybe, thats why he was "natural" on tests. methyltrienolone cant be detected by normal tests.

Nope, gloves are all padding softens the blow and spreads it over a greater surface area thereby decreasing PSI force.

So you call me a retard? Class guy. Listen, I have been in street fights, worked as a bouncer for several years, taken formal fight training (varying disciplines), and still hold to my opinion. Doesn't warrant being called a retard. I know this is the norm around here: insulting anyone who dares utter a word.

I am no big fan of the UFC or "mixed martial arts" and do not own a Tapout shirt. But if I wanted to, I would. My opinion does not negate the impressiveness of a boxer and his skills. I merely believe extraordinary strength, power, size, and aggressiveness can do much to protect someone and inflict severe damage to another wishing to cause harm.

But as a person who has been in a fight or two, I can also state that, street fighting is very dangerous, and luck plays into success in a big way. A lucky punch or twist of the ankle can change outcome in the blink of an eye.

This is my opinion. I respect yours. Please do not call me a retard again.

Glen Ross probly has the boxing skill of an ironing board yet survived getting beaten with baseball bats to near death by 8 loyalist paramilitary scumbags.

His immense size saved him from the damage.

Actually I thought he was pro-size right away, and so did many others.  I replied that he looked about the size of Ronnie Coleman during his pre-Olympia years.  I did see your arm pic and it looked very good TBH, but not Tysonesque :)  Keep in mind the pic I posted is not an arm pose.  If you were to stand with your torso facing the camera and arms dangling your arms would look as massive as in the shot you posted.

Please do not call me a retard again.

Wrong forum for that tone :)
