Trey Brewer may of not deserved to win but.......
« on: June 24, 2008, 11:12:29 AM »
The bottom line is Trey deserved better than 5th!!!

According to Trey's trainer after the Excalibur the judges advice was Trey needed more symmetry throughout his whole body.  So what did they do......Showed up with better symmetry.  If the judges told Trey and his trainer to come in with as much size as possible then I doubt we would of seen the same package.

Also, it's an uphill battle competing in the NPC unless you are trained by Palumbo's drug abusing azz or Haney's gay crew!

Trey is still extremely young and will bounce back from this show, so don't go writing him off yet!!

Let the hatin' begin!!!!

Like I said before, I think they were just slapping him on the wrist for showing up with that gyno.  Name alone should have probably warranted his getting 3rd.  Trey can be a pro but you've gotta represent if you're gonna be winning titles.

his waist was significantly wider, he lost a shit load of leg size during his prep, and he now also has gyno he needs to address.

not a productive off season, and more to the point, a hurried and costly pre- contest prep.

He was off ... simple as that, and surprisingly, rumors have said he won't compete at the NPC USAs to come back much improved.  Perhaps the North Americans or the Nationals.

Problem with Trey, so much hype for the guy from the internet and magazines, and many expected much more. Trey didnt deliver, so boom...

Trey will get it together soon.

he needs to stay in near contest shape all year long.  his mistake was ballooning up and then crash dieting down.

BULLSHIT plain and simple. If the judges really did say that then why in f**k did his "trainer" advise him to blow up to a literally obese 320lbs?? If you want to improve symmetry that ain't the way to go.

Trey's "trainer"  needs to start from the beginning training the general public instead of making up bs and covering his ass.

Yep, from what I understand he lost most of it the last 8 weeks before.

Couldn't have said it better. At 270-280 he would've been able to work on his symmetry more productively, so you can throw that excuse out the window.

Here's the deal, jackass. When the judges said to come in with better symmetry, I'm 1000% sure they meant to bring his upper body up to match his legs, not shrink the one really impressive bodypart he had, get horrible gyno and come in to the show out of shape. This has NOTHING to do with who trains him, it has to do with the fact that he got on stage and looked like he regressed 18 months instead of improving for 18 months.

He's only 22 and might be OK in the future, But, before anything else, he'll have to get the gyno fixed, not go over 280 in the offseason and do a LOT of work on his back. Then, maybe, he'll win a national show next year. But don't be surprised if you see him fat as hell two or three months from now if he shuts down competing this year because for him to transform from how he looked guest posing at Ronnie's show to the Juniors he had to use a ton of thyroid and the rebound is going to be ugly.

No hears the real deal jackass....Rumor has it that Trey didn't even train legs for the last 6-8 weeks of his preparation for Jr. Nats due to the fact of them overwhelming his upper body.

Easier said than done when you say bring your upper body up to match your legs when TB can look at his legs and they grow.

Oh well, everyone on this board is a expert anyway!

I believe that ,has to let legs go a bit, just keep them hard and work on keeping seperation which was pretty good at the jrs,if he turns pro good for him ,if not who cares.

Not an expert but he probably should have bulked up to about 300-305 lbs. Kept working legs but only do squats every other week.  Start his diet about 20 weeks out and come in around the same weight as the Excaliber maybe a couple pounds heavier but better conditioned and a better overall package.  Instead they bulked him up to 330 fat pounds and crash dieted him and want to blame the judges.  MORONS.

Well, jackass, whether he trained legs six days a week or didn't train them for 6 months is completely irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what you put on stage and his legs looked like crap compared to what they should have looked like, his condition was off and he had awful gyno. It's not a question of "easier said then done". The point is that he has to bring back his average upper body to be in balance with his legs when he bothers to train them, not bring his legs down to his mediocore upper body, which is what he did. Great strategy. If he can do it, he'll do very well. If not, he'll never do much at the next level.

You are obviously close to Trey since you seem to have all that "inside info" and want to ignore that he flat out blew it. Do him a favor and stop trying to blame the judges for his fu** up, help him learn from it and take responsibility for his mistakes and move on so he can get better. And maybe you can drive him home from the surgeon after his gyno is fixed.
Enjoy your dish...
