From what I have seen over the years and read on here,
1. for how much it is done
2. what emphasis is put on it
3. and for how many people know about it
Bench press is the exercise I see that people suck at the most generally. You always see people say how overrated it is, how it doesn't matter etc which usually ='s "I suck bad at bench press" Hell I would say on most standard gyms less than 1% of the males that attend can bench even come close to benching 315 unassisted. Why this is I don't know exactly. I think some people are just built to bench press and others are not.
