I'd be surprised if he got more than say 5-8 reps per set with 400-405lbs. Jeremy Hoornstra who is nearly, if not the best 242lb class bench presser in the World right now only gets in the 20-25 rep range with 405.

I wanted to keep it short and easy enough to understand that even someone with an IQ of 53 would be able to understand :)

As much as I like Sergio and I don't like calling bullshit on claims that are even close to being true.  I gotta say this one is way off.  Kaz told me he had done 405 for 28 was his top so I doubt Sergio was stronger than Kaz

Is that how Sergio got the label "THE MYTH?

Wonder what his bwt was at that time when he rep'ed out the 400? Of course with advance Weider training he might have done it back in the olden day's.

Is that how Sergio got the label "THE MYTH?

1.)Wonder what his bwt was at that time when he rep'ed out the 400?

2.)Of course with advance Weider training he might have done it back in the olden day's.

1.)Two weeks out from contest.

2.) He used the pre-exhaust and "muscle-confusion" principles.

I would have like to seen Sergio lift.  The only time I saw him in the gym was when he came in and was wearing a suit.

Why is anyone even discussing this bullshit?

I heard the book totally sucks and the 400-50 reps is only one indication why.

I love Sergio and all, but he's FULL OF SHIT on this claim. I don't fcking need to discuss this any further. I thought Sergio "The Myth" Olivia was smarter than this....

It was hardly professionally done...much like Tom Minichiello's..'Bodybuilders, Drugs and Sex....'

Guess I should not have posted it...it seemed so incredible that I thought it MAY have been true.....

Maybe he means he did 50 reps with 400 over the course of his training career

Why is it that when they conquer this amazing herculean presses THERE is never a camera in the building, but have them bench 225 and you can always find a camera man around.

Let me guess he did it while he was home alone in his basement  ::)

Are we talking about the lift, or his first prepubescent sexual experience?

I'm staying far, far away from this book...

Is what Sergio Oliva claims he did in his recently self-published autobiography.

Anyone here believe this could be possibly true?
It's probably true.  If it's on paper, it's truth.  Beside, I usually rep out 400lbs for 30 reps, as a nice warm up for my chest routine. ::)
