Because he did not bring what Arnold had to the table: Dominance, charisma, basically every trait of a superior alpha male. Arnold = Arnold, and it's not just the body that made him a star.

Correct. Eddie Robinson looked great in photos standing on his own but put him on the Olympia stage and he was dwarfed.

He was the biggest BBer in his height class.

He was one of only 3 BBers that destroyed Sean Rey as an amatuer.

He was huge. His problem was his came in watery, not 100% shredded wheat, especially his 32 inch legs.

there's a lot of talk about who is the strongest bber, but eddie is on the top of the list.

before he was 22, he had the bench record in the low 6's.

he weighed like 230 and this was before bench shirts.

many others have claims - but eddie's was backed up with a world record.

sword was taller than him. and needed 2 stepstools to get on a horse, then his little legs just poked out to the sides. looked ridiculous. so the director reluctantly gave the part to arnold
