I just went to the movies with my wife and 3 kids.

ticket cost: $8.00 a piece = $40.00
Dinner for all 5 $ $75.00
 Next night, took the wife out
Dinner $125.00 (was a nice place)
Club cover : $20.00
Drinks: $75.00
Breakfast: $35.00

So a total in two days of = $365.00

and she bitches I spend $300.00 a month on my gear, damn, I should just stay home and double up next month

Most people spend more money doing stupid stuff than they do on gear, even if  you drop a grand a week on gear, I bet you will find if you go out every weekend you drop $200.00 a weekend. sheesh and we are the bad guys. Hell, she pays more to get her hair, nails and tanning then I do on my gym membership and gear. and I'm the bad guy.

As a single guy, I don't have all that overhead to worry about.

Even when I'm going out with my girlfriend, we usually take turns over who pays.

I cook my own meals when I'm alone.

This is 2008, and the economy is in a recession.

Gas is going to hit $5 per gallon in another month.

It's time for you to tell your wife to start cooking more, eating out less..........and the kids will need to be satisfied with cable tv.
