I used to see him on here, what happened to him,....did I miss something?

ifbbwannabe was a douchebag and trab didnt like him and other posters like him, so he left.

thats what i know on it.

there might be more to it though im not sure.

Sucks cause Trab was one of my fav posters here. Very knowledgeable, told it like it is and didn't mind sharing what he knows. Learned a lot from the guy and it would be great if he came back.

Trab's account was hacked into by someone else on this board and they sent a virus to his PC. It pissed him off and he left. Can't say I blame him.

I miss trab. Great guy. I still keep in touch with him from time to time via email. Very helpful and knowledgeable about lots of issues. AJ's right... he got hit with a virus from someone through a PM.

Can you tell me how it was hacked and used to send a virus to his pc? Because i dont think its necessary to hack someone's acct here to send a virii, its all about a link but even in that case, i really doubt something would happen unless its really a brand new exploit.
Trab quit because he was pissed, nobody hacked him , nobody sent a virii to him, that is all.

No no no, sorry but i cant accept that. MAYBE, just MAYBE someone sent him a url pointing to a virus, but i find it so hard to fall in that, even for newbies.
Trab will kill me but i know it didnt happen, more like he probably made a mistake, got infected somewhere else and blamed gb

Oh I absolutely agree. He told me personally he got the virus from the PM system. Now I know(as a former web developer myself) that the GB PM system is virus free, but that does not mean that someone didn't send him a very creative link.

it is not virus free, its just not possible to send a virus attached + if my mind doesnt trick me, the embedded sploit is long time gone. www.malware.com i think had some demonstrations.
As for a link, still hard, BUT if it was a pdf, then maybe, just maybe.

It is virus free. You will not get a virus just from using the PM system. Now, there may be viruses that people have sent from the PM system, but you will not get infected just from using it.
