I like you Alex but I have to call you out on this enormous misconception:

Catholicsm has embraced money/wealth, in stark contrast to most other forms of christianity like lutheranism and Calvinism. Catholism is about grand cathedrals, lavishly decorated, just look at the Vatican! Money wasn't evil, no, money made Catholicism function as well as it did. money was acces to heaven as you could pay off your sins, the church had a large hand in all kinds of taxes.

Good point but incrusting guilt toward monetaries in order to collect them as been Catholic's ways for a while...
