Thanks. I am not giving my opinion, I'm relaying something from my brother who deals with the courts everyday.

I totally agree. That is not to say there isn't racism anymore but it isn't large scale institutional racism. #1, its not the right solution (to fight racism with racism) #2, there isn't significant racism in most jobs that are under affirmative action mandates (ie gov, schools, etc). I would guess you could more commonly find racism with mom & pop places with older, more ignorant owners. #3 AA actually causes more bad feelings between races. #4 As races mix more, who really qualifies for preferential treatment. 50% black, 25% black, 10% black. I can't see American continuing to treat people unequally forever. Bad enough it happened once.
I believe cutting affirmative action now would send a further message that America has matured and is the best place for all to be. I'd love to see Barack do it!
