small amounts of fructose on a low carb diet can be beneficial because it will help preserve muscle glycogen and it will lower circulating insulin levels
thats why the high protein hgih fat guy liked it, i imagine
someone on a normal bodybuilding diet has no use for fructose or fruits, since all carbohydrates can fill liver glycogen, while fructose can only be used by the liver, and the liver is very small and spills over very easily...
Okay, this leads to yet another question then. If someone is on a "normal bodybuilding diet", what carbs do they eat?
When does one go (in your mind) from being on a low carb diet to a "normal bodybuilding diet"?
Because, I must say from my anecdotal experience, that since Dr. Mauro DiPasquale first came around the block, the "traditional" bodybuilder diet became much less used, and fats became favorable.
I am not looking to refute you, or necessarily to debate you. Just looking for a healthy discussion.
BTW, many now consider palm and coconut oil to be favorable fats. See: www.tropicaltraditions.c
