240, sorry to be back here haunting ya but you bring up an interesting subject. ANd it appears that we both see the same pasture from different sides of the fence.
Here's the way I see it.
Sure, we have had five attempts, but the point here is that all five of them have been failures. Or am I overlooking one?
Most new business ventures are initiated in an attempt to copy the success of others. I am not aware of any start-up starting up to emulate a business that has recently failed. There could be occasions where the founding officers simply stold the funds and went on the lam and another enterprising individual stepped in to fill the void, but there is no real void to fill in our present situation unless that "void" is in the head of the party who is stepping in.
I do agree that there are many reasons for anyone of us to wish to start a new organization. Some of these reasons may be valid but most of them are simply figments of our imagination.
But the overall picture from my side of the fence clearly shows that many have started but none crossed the finish line while racing against the big kid on the block. And we know damn well who that guy is.
