Ah... Roland is 100% confirmed in Terminator 4, as we talked yesterday. It is being filmed right now in New Mexico, where it is pretty hot this week!

Roland Kickinger is a little busy these days, down in New Mexico filming the 4th movie in the Terminator Series, titled Terminator 4: Salvation: The Future Begins. Set for a release date of May 22nd, 2009, Roland is playing the character of the T-800, which was the original terminator.

This movie picks off where Terminator 3 ended, where the Skynet computer has destroyed most of humanity. John Conner, who will be played by Christian Bale, and his group start to lead the rebellion against the machines. Roland Kickinger is set to go after John Conner, who will be protected by a good terminator, in this case, played by Josh Brolin.

Here is a synopsis released by Warner Bros. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a Terminator whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind.

hopefully it's good.

I have only seen Terminator 1 & 2. I won't bother with 3.

Terminator 4 won't be right without Arnold.

It's being directed by McG, the guy who did the Charlie's Angels movies. I'm not expecting it to be very good.

Never was a fan of Roland, but I wish him well - cool to get such a role.
Hopefully the film delievers and Roland fits the bill.

i love the terminator movies more than anybody but isn't this concept a little played out with one terminator protecting john and one chasing him throughout the movie?

and roland resembles arnold too much, that is probably why he was chosen for the movie but i think it's a bad idea

people will watch the movie and think "who is this arnold wannabe?"

I miss Linda Hamilton though, especially fom T2 where she was shredded wheat!

BTW, THE DIECTOR IS MCG-WHO DID THE VERY COOL CHARLIE'S ANGELS ACTION FLICKS!

So was Batman, what I always wanted since I've seen Terminator for the first time was to see the actual war
of the machines against the humans, post apocalyptic war, dirty soldiers battling machines.

At least Roland has the accent to go with the part. Wonder if he is training hard to bring his body back up to competition level? (Or at least better than he had in "See Arnold Run.")

This is good casting. Somebody wised up and decided to at least cast a former bodybuilder in the role, instead of trying to "train" an actor. You can't just throw anybody in that role, following the physique that Arnold displayed in at least the first two movies. And this is the natural progression for Roland, as I think any bodybuilding fan will admit that when they saw Roland, they saw kind of a new age version of Arnold.
