Can cardio kill you?

So im reading about a guy that was an active poster in a local forum, that he died last night due a heart attack. I dont know about his age but judging by his photos, he was probably 30 o 35.
He used to post his training routine, 1 hour of cardio every morning on empty stomach (eliptical) at 6 am

Possible or not?

He was probably predisposed for heart disease. Dig into data about marathon runners and stuff and see if you can find a higher % of heart attacks in extreme endurance activities.

Yeah something about the heart walls being thicker in some individuals. In Italy they make anybody who plays sports get an EKG so they can detect it. Otherwise it's LIGHTS OUT!

It's called sudden cardiac death, and can happen to anyone who is predisposed to it.  How do you know if you're predisposed to it? You don't.  Basically the heart rhythms get all fucked up and causes the heart to stop.  If you happen to have a defibrillator handy, usually no problem, otherwise, c'ya!  Usually happens to one or two high school athletes a year in most large cities and makes the news.
