Please!!! Anything but Mercy Me, especially "I can only imagine". That song is straight up depressing.

Perhaps, something more upbeat: NewsBoys, Kirk Frankin, Trin-i-Tee 5:7.......ANYTHING!!!!

Now, that's my jam, there. My daughter (soon to be 4 years old) loves that song, too.

Don't get me wrong. I dig some of the contemporary Christian music, too. But, please spare me the Mercy Me. That group is just too sad sack for me, especially "I Can Only Imagine".

One thing that gets my goat is when my church has the children (including my daughter) do special music. They make the kids do the "Milli Vanilli" style by playing the tape/CD with the lyrics, instead of just playing the music and letting the wee ones sing for themselves.

Jon Gibson is one of my favorite gospel artists. He does alot of different arrangements on songs like Amazing Grace and Awesome God. This one has a jazz feel to it. Song - "We Serve a Mighty God"

Didn't know she had so much soul. I was never a big fan of hers, simply because I only knew her from the slower songs, which I don't care too much about.
