Not to give it away but the plot shift telling who he is was really weird.  Quite a few things were left vague that could have really added to the movie. Better than I am Legend so I give it a B. Batman, Hulk, Ironman, and Hellboy will own this summer.

He's a better actor than he was but he is NOT a great actor. Denzel, Morgan Freeman,  Lawrence Fishburne..
Those are great actors. Smith has box office appeal making him a big Movie Star but that's not the same as being a great actor

First half had potential but had hoped for "villains" with a bit more power.

Was much better than "I am Legend" though!

Some good lines in the movie though, the "McDonalds"-one and i recall a good line in the bar as well.

Didn't like the plot-shift but there is possibility for a sequel.

Couldn't beat Iron Man though.

Denzel has a character type which is typically a cop and it works well. Morgan is always great as a detective like John Wayne was as a cowboy. I appreciate how Denzel and a few other Black actors don't limit themselves just to Black comedy and love dramas and only win BET awards. Roles like Fishburne in the Matrix or Will Smith in Hancock are innovative for Black actors.

I was going to say the same thing - about Freeman tho.  Always the quietly wise guy, soft spoken, pure motives, blah blah.  He's good.  I like him.  But he always plays Morgan Freeman.  I want to see him play a bloodthirsty psychopath who uses his "trust me, I'm grandfatherly" charms to trick people into a situation where he eventually wears portions of their innards as nipple tassles.
