Yesterday, I was at my gym, when I saw a new guy I have never seen before walking around, with a mean "don't mess with me look", chest pushed out and lats spread, with his and arms spread almost like a guy doing a pose on the Olympia stage as he walked around. On top of that, he was wearing sunglasses while working out!
I'm a pretty easy going guy, who generally does not pick on people, or start a fight unless the guy really deserves it, and I tend to be pretty relaxed about people who do strange things provided they don't directly addect me, but for some reason this guy really got on my nerves. I was tempted to actually come up and take his glasses of in a joking way, or come right up to his face and look directly at him, or maybe give him a bit of a nudge if he got in my way (my gym behaviour is usually really pretty good, I am happy to help out beginners, and treat people who deserve it with respect, and not that it really matters, but for the record, I am way stronger (and bigger) than this guy.
OK well its OK if you are working out in the sun on Muscle Beach, and I guess some of those magazine pics in the 80s and 90s have a few cool pics of bodybuilders wearing shades, (and yes, Arnie looked cool in shades as Terminator)... So, what do you guys think I should do. Have you ever seen guys wearing shades while working out, and if so, do you consider that offensive or annoying?
