this news item is lacking some pertinent information:

1) IFBB amateur or pro?

2) what country?

a single amateur in a third world country being told to report for a random drug test really says little about the IFBB's drug policy.   it could just as easily be that the athlete in question is on his country's chairman's shit list.

Bingo!  None of the IFBB "contests" are really "contests" in the true sense of the word so why would anyone think that the "athletes" chosen for testing are really chosen at random?????

What drugs are they testing for? Let me guess, cocaine and amphetamine and few recreational drugs only.  ::) Just like they do in the strong man competitions.

I hear it's a great back stage secret weapon. When combined with generous doses of "bad advices" it literally destroys the competition.

Ridiculous. Like anyone with half a brain doesn't know EVERY pro bodybuilder is using drugs. And in many cases, lots of a lot of different kinds of drugs / hormones are being used, regularly. Who could possibly take this seriously?

I'd bet no one chosen was done so with a randomly-chosen system, either. Some no-name wank who'd place dead last in a C-level show, me thinks. Poor bastard.

They don't test for hormones. Oh wait they have "legal" prescriptions for HGH, test, insuline etc... problem solved, no one caught.

yes, you can get deca and anadrol and much more from prescription too. not too mention there is no test,. and there wont be any time soon, for insulin and or hgh.    plus, steroids suspended in water instead of in an ester, and orals that clear the system in a dya or two... no way to test for those.

so basically different anabolic / testosterone compounds is all they test for, for which any pro bodybuilder simply have a prescription to show anyway. So this way IFBB pleases everyone. Look, we are running a clean "sport" here. Not like baseball, NFL or cycling, they are the bad ones! I can see it now... brilliant, I can respect that. ;D
