Bears sign sign RB Kevin Jones to a one year deal

Any Bears fans out there?

Jones is a helluva good player, IMO. I think this is pretty good pickup for Chicago. He'll make an impact if he's healthy and ready to play. Plus, he's only 26 years old. Good receiver out of the backfield also.

He's never missed more than four games in a season. I think he's a good talent and a significant upgrade of Cedric Benson.

Good pickup by the Bears if you ask me.

Teams were scared off by his recent injuries. That's why the Bears only signed him to a one year deal. You can bet the bank that if he hits 1000 yards+ rushing this year with 8 or more td's, he will be offered an extension by the Bears. But he might have to split carries with the rookie they drafted so it's probably unlikely he sticks around long-term.

Great move by da bears.....One year deals have no risk. Look at Randy Moss and Donte Stallworth. Moss is a superstar, Stallworth will be replaced. He helped the pats out, earned his money, and now he is on his way. Jones could be great for the bears, if not - so what? He's not singed long term, and at worst he gets cut. At best he is a beast.

The back they drafted will be good.

The lions offensive line is putrid..... Thats why Kitna is always on his back. I think Jones can be effective with an avg line, the lions line sucks.
