Funny, I met someone from Australia and he too said, "No worries."  Yet didn't come off like most douchebags, who use this term.
I never thought it was any form of ebonics, but wondered the origin of this cutting edge term.  10 years ago, you never heard anyone say it.
I'm going to try and bring back "bitchin" and "rad".  Those were awesome. ;) ::)

Well i say it cos I'm Australian and its common to say, its like saying "sure" which is even more stupid. e.g. "thanks for the sandwich" ... "sure". Makes sense D:

Whenever some douche tells me "no worries" about something, I always respond with "I wasn't worried."  and then they stand there with a dumb look on their faces as if they're shocked that I would be so rude...

Australian's are English criminals. Escape from New York style shit was going on there a few hundred years ago.

Btw, I can easiliy imagine a receptionist saying 'no worries, we'll have the delivery made on time' or some such
