Bush caves again - time to appease iran?
« on: July 17, 2008, 06:36:47 AM »
Newt Gingrich was on Hannity last night, very upset.

It seems Bush sent the #3 man from the state Dept to IRAN to negotiate with them.

This is, of course, after he said we don't negotiate with terror states.

Well, this does follow course... remember when NKorea set off a nuke and fired missiles?  Right after the missile test, we paid them off with a million barrels of oil.   Now that Iran has fired their missiles, it looks like we're going to appease another terror state

Bush is starting to do everything Obama has said we should be doing. In addition to talking to Iran, Bush is talking of pulling larger numbers of troops out of Iraq and sending more brigades to Afghanistan.

It is nice to see this moron showing some intelligence, but I believe he is doing many of these things in an attempt to help McCain get elected. It won't work.

I guess u missed the part where they are going to watch, not negotiate.
Its nice to see Obama flip flop on his postion on Iraq to the point that McCain has him boxed in.

According to Newt, Bush is giving political power to Ahmedijahad by allowing one of his top guys to attend.

According to newt, due to the recent ramped up rhetoric by Ahmedijahad, there is NO way we can find an agreement - this is just a STALL so they can finish nukes.

I believe him on this one.  For him to shit on white house for it, means they really dropped the ball on this one.  newt is a LOYAL republican, stands for a strong USA, and one of the smartest guys in D.C., without a doubt.

Would it be okay for President Obama to "have a guy there to watch negotiations" with Cuba?
Dude, give it a break.  Bush caved on NKorea, and he's gonna cave on Iran too.

Bush caved...do u understand the oil policy with NK. That that policy was started under Clinton and Bush did not want to send the oil but was persueded by the State Department. The guy is being sent to watch...maybe he's there to tell the Persian Hobbit that he better shut up because we're done talking Israel out of smoking them.

People can see it as they like, but the US sending someone, means one thing we are putting on a show, just in case we go into a dogfight. Bush is doing a total 360 with foreign policy to appease the people here at home and abroad for when the time comes.

more news... London Guardian reporting initial plans for a US embassy in Tehran.

Seems the negotiation floodgates are about to open with Tehran.  I feel this is EXCELLENT news.  They own 15% of the world's daily oil output, and tensions with them have spiked prices.  You have news of this leaking, and oil prices start dropping :)

Face it boys... in the coming days we'll see more and more of this hand-holding with Tehran.  We can't attack them.  They called the bluff with sinking the buck and then fired missiles.  Bush blinked.  We'll be at the table with them before long...

If Newton is chapped then you know Cheney has to be seething.

Cheney was supposedly very pissed off about Bush's recent acquiescence with North Korea.

Bush was the one who gave N Korea the go ahead to develop nukes, by tearing up the treaty to begin with.
N. Korea was then free to develop all the nukes it wanted. That was a stupid move on Bush's part ...among many.  :-\
