I'd love to but the wife is working late. I could be a selfish prick and o see it by myself but she would get pissed off royally.

I'll just have to wait. I'm going to see it on IMAX.

The movie is mind-blowing, according to even the toughest critics. They're talking Oscar nomination for Heath Ledger's Joker.

Was going to go but I'm beat and have to get up at 530 so I'm just going to catch the first Saturday morning showing instead. Can't fucking wait, though. Tempted to drive up state to see it on the only fucking IMAX screen around here.

This will be interesting. People are convinced he will win it. I think he will only be the 2nd person to when an oscar after their death...

The movie got released here in Aus on the 16th, i should really go and try and see it. Looks great.
No doubt about it...

I saw it last night (my friend runs a local theater here, and had a private screening for all of his friends).  I have to say that the Heath Ledger OWNS this movie, hands down.  If he doesn't at least get nominated for an Oscar, it will be a travesty.

Me too.
Batman truly is my real life hero, for without him, I would be seeing Mama Mia with the girlfriend tomorrow night.

I got the 12:05 showing last night

FUCKING WORTH IT! Didn't really feel like a superhero movie at all, but more of one those movies that feels very real.

Ledger did a great job. The character was actually what I'd call scary.

now I want to go see it. after reading all the non-spoiler reviews it sounds great.

By the sounds of it this is what a comic movie should be, not what these gay marvel universe movies are.

The movie is fantastic.

Ledger did an incredible job. There will be no Joker after that performance.

Just saw it tonight.
It surpassed the hype.

Was a great production, and I’d be interested to know the budget spent on this film.

Now, Warner Bros. has two new very successful Batman films on record. Let’s hope that this time around they don’t hand the reigns over to Joel Schumacher. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson.

I hope they don’t continue the character, and if they did, I really think the fans would fart on it.
#1 To many folks it would seem a bit disrespectful to cast another actor in the role, and #2 Heath did such a fantastic job, I don’t know if fans would accept someone else playing the part.

I can believe it.
How does that compare with the Spider-Man films?

Dent’s face was CGI I’m assuming.
Looked too good to be prosthetics.

My girlfriend says it’ll never happen (and deep down, I suspect/know she’s right), but I’d love to see them bring back the 1989 “Keaton” Batmobile.

It’s always been my favorite car, and of all the versions, Warner Bros. is most protective of it and still maintains the exclusive rights to its image and likeness. I don’t know about now, but I understand that they used to have a separate team in their legal dept. whose job was to chase counterfeit producers of the car’s body.

The original copyright/TM actually expired years ago, but WB essentially “renews” it by using the car every so many years, hence the Onstar commercials and the occasional appearance in a WB movie.
They must want it for something.

Just saw it. I'm speechless. It's definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Ledger's Joker is awesome. Definite Oscar nomination. And yes, even if Ledger was still alive I would say the same thing.

The score is also excellent; intense, dark.  Pick it up when ya get a chance.
