  Would Obama raising taxes along with the recent slashing of important programs in education and other social services be correlated to paying for the war?

I doubt it.  He claims he will raise taxes and use that income to help fund socialized healthcare.  What he should be talking about is how to cut spending and taxes, which McCain is at least giving lip service to.  We can't afford to keep spending.  We're in debt.
