if you open your heart and accept mike mentzer into your life a little tiny bit of him can be in your heart from this day and forward. all it takes is that you believe. do you believe? do you want to?

Mike Mentzer made the decision to allow the outcome of the 1980 Mr Olympia to steal his joy and ruin his life.

Not a "thinking man" IMO

Im happy.

Mike became a bitter, unhappy, druggie because Mike decided that life was over after Arnold beat him.

I give Arthur Jones the "thinking man" credit

He was a full on whack job-just full on mental illness. Babbling on about philosophy nonstop and not making any sense. Guy was KooKoo for cocoa puffs in 1988.

You also would never recognize Mentzer back then, fat, pot bellied out of shape POS with 16 inch arms, dirty clothes. mentzer had the basic homeless beach bum hobo look of the So Cal beach areas back then.

"bluto" posts a mentzer/stallone/segal ball-worship thread every month or so, then bumps it furiously.

That doesn't explain away his filthy clothes, unkept and un-bathed look.

You would not be able to tell Mentzer from the local homeless beach alcoholic back then.

He was kookoo!
