HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Sorry, you're 100% wrong.  Come over some time, I'll show you plenty of burn in, through normal usage.  Not image retention, but burn in.  Companies spew this, but in reality, it's horseshit...hence the point of this post.
You're gay. I shouldn't help you, But i'm a nice gay.  ;)

Thanks for posting information I knew over a year ago.  Don't believe everything you read.  In a practical setting, Samsung plasmas burn in...through regular usage.
Orbiters, etc, do nothing.  Pixel shifting...same thing.  Screen wipes, white screens...all "burn in" prevention....does....ye s, nothing.
evidently it's not
No, it's still a great picture, but burn in is more than likely...at least on a Samsung...top end newer model.

Another getbig thread, that turns into nothing to do with the topic..haha, what a shocker.

haah, Man...you really don't know what you're talking about.  Let me help you out.  There is image retention and there is burn in.
My screen is burnt in.
Image retention, easily removed using a screen wipe or just through normal use, will go away.
Burn in, not removable.  Burn in, actually burns in the glass.

I'm well aware of the difference, and now thanks to me, you are too.  I never claimed it had image retention.
Not the first thread I started asking for some advice, then you get some asshat popping off, spewing uninformed "knowledge" of a subject.  The beauty of message boards. ;D

shoot yourself in the nuts for buying a garbage plasma.  LCD is the way to go my friend, they generally are a little more expensive, but well worth it.  Plasma TV's are notorious for lagging behind the input source, which can be bad if you play video games or watch a a lot of sports...
