$21 drop in fee! WTF???

So I went to  the new Gold's that opened up in my area and did a week trial...gym was decent, but I still have 6 months left on my membership at my current gym. I was working near the Gold's today so to save a little time I thought, rather than drive the extra 20 min to my gym, I'd just train at Gold's. So I asked what they charged for a drop in fee and the spandex wearing, never lifted a weight in her life, trophy tart at the counter chips, $21... I said you gotta be shittin' me, and she replied with...but if you keep your reciept, you can apply it to a membership if you buy one this week. I laughed and walked out, drove to my gym and had a fantastic leg workout. My blood was boiling,

Now I'm not sure if I'll bother switching gym's. I'm not quite happy where I am as they have a basket ball court with no devider between it and the weights, and when all the Joe shmoe wanna be b-ballers miss the net, the ball goes flying into the weight area. Hard to do heavy lifts, when a basketball goes flying by your fukin head.

I'd love to train at Hazbin's gym, but it's just to far to travel every day.

Hard to find a good Gym these days, ya know?

this is more of a concern then paying $21

whoever designed that gym is insane. I've been a member at 2 different Golds and the hoops were either outside or in a completely different room along with the ring and/or cage, bags..etc for fighters.

...anyway...try a different front desk person and ask for the manager..etc. (calmly) and tell them just what you told us..distance, gym sucks..etc but you are locked in another 6 months..etc, you REALLY REALLY like his gym...etc but you can't do the 21 fee thing...can we work out a deal..etc,etc. because you are going to join his gym regardless...etc,etc.

he'll either work out a deal. I had one where I was only paying $15/mo contract was until 2010 lockin deal (ended up moving so I got out of it, but keeping it wouldn't have hurt) or something where you sign up that day but your price is lower to help you out but you lock in years..etc   OR he'll tell you to fk off somewhere else!!!!

doesn't hurt to try ya know. Nothing like getting a chest pass to your head doing deads. lol

In fact, the Gold's isn't that bad....just wayyy overpriced for a fad gym.
