Congress can't legislate the stimulation of the economy, only the American people can do that.

The best stimulus that can be handed to the nation is to Vote for Obama in November!  :)

Ok Jag..please break that statement down for me...HOW?

How will Obama help the US economy. He will raise taxes on those making 250 grand. Many of those are small business owners....they won't be able to grow their companien/stores, they won't be able to invent/engineer/build more things. They will fold or go overseas if thats an option. Ground up growth does not work. He has no energy plan...therefore oil will stay high. Truckers will suffer, food and other goods will stay high.....nope this guy is another Carter..stagflation and unemployment. He's completely bought into this global warming bullshit, so we'll suffer under ridiculous regulations while china and india continue to suck down oil and other natural resources. This guy is a disaster.

Every thing you said there is fear propaganda meant for the playground HH6.

Obama has enough for you to attack.  When are you going to post something that's not fear propaganda or stereotyping that's not fed to you by your boys club?

How is that stereotyping? You can probably find most of that information (on his stances on these issues) on Obamas Website. A lot of his ideas are very Carter-esque.   That is part of the problem is we have gone down that road before and I know many americans would like to not repeat these particular past mistakes.

sorry to jump in but I have a question , I received this in an e-mail , is this true ?

INTERESTING DATA JUST RECEIVED ON TAXES

This is something you should be aware of so you don't get blind-sided.
This is really going to catch a lot of families off guard. It should make you worry.

Proposed changes in taxes after 2008 General election:

 CAPITAL GAINS TAX

 MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples) McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

 OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales

 How does this affect you?
If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes.
If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your
home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you
make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the
elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.

 DIVIDEND TAX

 MCCAIN 15% (no change)

 OBAMA 39.6%

 How will this affect you?
If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama become president.
The experts predict that 'higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains
would crash the stock market yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.

 INCOME TAX

 MCCAIN (no changes)

 Single making 30K - tax $4,500
 Single making 50K - tax $12,500
 Single making 75K - tax $18,750
 Married making 60K- tax $9,000
 Married making 75K - tax $18,750
 Married making 125K - tax $31,250

 OBAMA
 (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)
 Single making 30K - tax $8,400
 Single making 50K - tax $14,000
 Single making 75K - tax $23,250
 Married making 60K - tax $16,800
 Married making 75K - tax $21,000
 Married making 125K - tax $38,750

Under Obama your taxes will more than double!
How does this affect you? No explanation needed. This is pretty straight forward.

 INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

  OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax

How does this affect you? Many families have lost businesses, farms and ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax.
Those willing their assets to loved ones will not only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES BEING PROPOSED BY OBAMA

 * New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than
 2400 square feet

 * New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already)

 * New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity)

 * New taxes on retirement accounts and last but not least....

 * New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same
level of medical care as other third-world countries !!!

I'm open to it.  please enlighten me.  show it, post it in detail or a linked summary.  Until then it's stereotyping liberals.

I'd like more reason not to want to vote for him, becuase McCain is beating him in that category IMO.

Frankly, we need to redo BOTH primaries.

Show me a comparison.   I don't see it.  I don't see how we can NOT raise taxes.  Our deficit is the largest ever not including the Iraq war of some 80 billion this year.

Most of what Obama has said seems to be "general" campaign blabber.  He hasn't given many specifics.

Verify it.  until then it might be all crap.

I don't see people making 75k paying nearly 33% taxes.

The reinstating INHERITANCE TAX kills me.... I work my whole life building a business and pay my taxes. I want to leave my business to my son and now he has to sell it or take out a huge loan against the bussiness to pay taxes on an owned asset that shoudl be rightfully his.

Don't forget the significant tax increase on about 100 million Americans who own stock.

Put his name on the business while you're still alive, ...let him buy you out and don't die before this happens.  :D

???  then cross your fingers and toes that nothing happens to him or someone else will still pay for an "inheritance"
