Fish

Dear Lord I cannot stand the fishy taste of canned tuna any more, and canned salmon is even worse. I wouldn't feed that nasty stuff to pets even.

I've tried buying fish at the grocery store and cooking it at home, but no matter how I try, it always produces that awful fishy smell which is so hard to get rid of.

I've given up on fish for now.

What's your fish story?

Bake it in the oven and it shouldn't leave that smell.

"Fish cookers" which sandwich the fish between two wire racks are very handy for the bbq (if you have a gas bbq).  Also, not all fish stinks the same.  Salmon is one of the worst.  The lighter the flesh, the less the smell it seems.

Buy fresh fish only.

Canned tuna is only good in tomato sauce with pasta or sth like that.

My buddy just returned from an Alaskan fishing trip.  He have me some of the best salmon I have ever tasted.  Yesterday, I seared it on an electric skillet with a thin coating of olive oil at high heat.  No seasoning was required, no fishiness at all.

Good product for sure, but right after having fresh caught Alaskan salmon it pales in comparison!  (the price, free, was better too)
