Munich and Oktoberfest
« on: July 28, 2008, 07:33:44 PM »
Has anyone here been to Oktoberfest in Munich?

We keep an apartment in Prague for vacations and I heard that a lot of people take the train from Prague to Munich for Oktoberfest. I really want to go to Oktoberfest this year and was wondering if anyone else has been there yet. I hear its incredible.

Whats the best beer there?

oh München is very nice, very sofisticated, I don't like the area of Germany, it's hard to explain but Bayern Bavaria is like the
Republicans of Germany, as I said not easy to explain, but München and the sourounding area is very pretty.
I worked in the German Hof in Nürnberg for a while, that was the Hotel Adolf Hitler and rest stayed most of the time when they were in
Nürnberg :D

I have some pics from Munich but they are regular photos.  At some point I'll try to figure out how to upload them from my copier/printer and post them

Mrs. Tapper may want to know there is some good shopping in Munich ;D

My father lives just outside of Munich, it's absolutely awesome there, my favourite part of Deutschland.

The only let down is the large German population there ;D ;)

their is a Pub here in Pittsburgh that has hundreds of imports available. When I get over that way I always have a Dinkelacker or a Delirium Tremmis, or even a Delirium Noel if its near Christmas.
