Yea, I'm in Venice and felt it. Shook our whole building for a good 15-20 seconds. They upgraded it to a 5.8 now I guess.

Everyone ran outside heh.

Felt it down here in south OC. Of course now it's only a 5.4. I can't imagine what a 6-7 or fuck even an 8 feels like. California is fucked! $15 billion recordr budget deficits, crazy wildfires and overdue for a major earthquake! I'd rather put up with tornados and blizzards in Colorado than fucking earthquakes. Not shit you can do in an earthquake.

im in Orange county and i was sleeping. Was actually having a dream and all of a sudden my bed starts rocking back and forward... I was like wtf am i dreaming or is this shit real, got up the ground was still shaking bad, then i went outside.

I'd rather be in an earthquake than a hurricane or torneado...been around these all my life (anyone remember the one in the early 70's...Whittier). Also in the early 90's there was the big one (Northridge) and i was living in San Clemente at the time but had to drive back home (Pasadena area) to clean up both my parents and grandparents home...lots of damage.

And now they say that the San Andreas is 18 miles longer (past Palm Springs) than they formerly expected. One smart friend of mine who studies earthquakes and volcanos in Hawaii says that the Pacific Plate is gonna rise above the earth's crust in the vicinity of Lancaster/Palmdale and create a new mountain mass between LA and the Mojave Desert. At first it will only be a short mountain mass so don't worry too much about it right now, but all the roads to Las Vegas and points east will have to be re-routed. Good stuff to think about.
