what electric shaver/razor are you guys using

I actually use a straight razor with brush and bar soap. I feel it gives me a much better shave then a mach3 with gel cream.

It is another one of the quirks i have along with drinking dark beer.

It definantly takes time but once you get the hang of it its the best, cleanest, and closest shave you will get. Im a quality over quantity guy. The reason why your razor sucks is because the blade is wearing out. With a straight razor you only need to sharpen it once or twice a year. You take good care of the razor and you will get good shaves. It is also cheaper in the long run as the mach 3 blades can run 10-20 dollars depending how many you buy and they wear out rather quickly.

and what about ELECTRIC RAZORS, i'm looking for a safe way to shave quickly in the morning, even if it's not as efficient as with a straight razors, i dont care, just want the job done quick .

i never gave em a try;  i'm really looking forward smthg that would limit the risks of cutting myself or irritating my skin ; id also like not to use any lubrication and be able to do it dry everyday  > i  got an office job and i need to shave everysingle day, hence the thread.

Panasonic has some good ones. If you have never shaved electric, you will probably get a rash the first few times until the skin gets used to it (same as switching from electric to normal razor). Shaving takes a little longer but you can skip the shaving cream.

Fusion from Gillette by far the best razor. V close shave.

I just use a plain old bar of soap to shave with though. No foam or gel

I tried both and with the three rotators, you end up using just the top one most of the time and it takes a lot longer in the end.

I use the philip electric shaver for everyday purposes.  It works pretty good, as other have mentioned you can't get a close as a razor, but for just going to work or things of that sort it is great.  I use the quattro for special events.
