Bought a brand new Trans Am identical to the one in Smokey and the Bandit the day after the opening of the movie.  Once me and my friend saw the movie we went down and bought the car together.  He made the down payment and I made the monthly.  It was $11,500 brand new if I recall.  Hardly anyone had Trans Ams especially like this one.  Was quite the head turner.

had line-loc,373 read end posi gears,munice "stone crusher" 4 -speed,bored out 12 and a half to ones,cam lifters,roller rockers,headers,2 750 holley double pumpers on a "tunnel ram"...ran low 12's in the quarter mile

sick sick street car!(it be worth a ton of money now!)
