Testosterone and Free Testosterone, what's the diff?
« on: August 05, 2008, 06:46:24 PM »
It's like this, I'm 56, training for the past 10 yrs.,  done a few cycles, stoped doing gear for about a year or so, now I'm going to the Doc for HRT. In the past he has known about my cycles and at times my test level has been needless to RATHER high.........da!!!!!!!
He has always talked about Testosterone and Free Testosterone............ what's the differance? My Free Testosterone  level is 3 and he says that it should be between 6 and 8. I have always thought that the levels are 400 to 800 for normal. When I was 46 my level was 132, and that is suppose to be very low. Any how................any thoughts??

Free test is what you body is using at any given time. You can have high test and if you have low free test you could have problems with sex drive, energy, etc. Google it, there is plenty of info out there or go to www.lef.org and you will find answers.
