Michael Phelps must eat about 20,000 calories a day.  If bodybuilders are eating 6-12k to put on a few lbs of muscle for their extremely strenuous 12 set shoulder workouts, there is no way Phelps is eating 4k calories a day.  Gold medal winning olympians have nothing on the "athletes" of the IFBB.

In my opinion, unless you risk death by dehydration or drug abuse, you are not an athlete.
