No Orange Chicken this weekend, but Bob Chick had some in honor on Friday!

Seriously, backstage was grest for the athletes. They had a full buffet, complete with chicken, pizza, quesadillas, cake, cookies and much much more. Don't worry, I took a number of pics, which should be up tomorrow.

Pics will be here, as the prejudging ones are alraedy there.

I was hoping Dennis would have taken the title, but 2nd is still pretty good. Will be interesting to see how he goes at the O this year.
No doubt about it...

Honestly, both Toney and Dennis looked good, so it could of gone either way.  I spoke to Toney after the show, and he did get a little harder and tighter, which could of made all of the difference.  The judges had it mixed, so I would of been happy with whatever decision they made.  I predicted Dennis beforehand, but Toney did come through, and at age 42, won the show.   Dennis was visibly upset when they announced him in 2nd, as he really wanted to win a pro show in the US.

I was really impressed with David Henry. The guy has changed so much in the last two years. Real friendly, married to a wonderful girl, and has made the necessaru changes to be a top competitor. Kudos to David for coming back when some people thought he was out and done for.

Dennis has big shoulders, but no conditioning and no symmetry.
David Henry and Tarek Elsetouhi were the most outstanding competitors!

I guess this means he is not doing the Olympia now? ::) ::) ::)
From the following link posted at FLEX mags site:

http://www.flexonline.com/dennis_james_interview_bodybuilding/news/519

>>>1 … Career win, at the 2001 Hungary Grand Prix. “To win this show on Saturday means the world to me,” James says. I’ve never won a pro show in the United States. It would mean the world to me to win this pro show, to be recognized as a champ winning shows in America. I’m basically doing this for my wife because she had my back since Day 1 and it’s her birthday. So I want to get this win for her. And a win is the only thing that can hype me back up into the Olympia. I don’t want to just qualify. I don’t think I’ll do the Olympia unless I win. That wouldn’t do anything for me. I need this win to build my career back up again and put me back in the mix.”

GREAT reporting here and I agree ( based on the pics I saw).
Dennis was at his best in years, but X man Freeman is INCREDIBLE when seen in person.
Tony is as big as a house and has ideal shape and balance.
Both can do some damage at the O if they come there in shape!
* FYI, Ron, it is reports and up to date info like this, etc that makes GET BIG a valuable bodybuilding news source .
Now, the current gossip board is another story hehehe

I thought Thugdale was one of the 202 guys?

He looked very mediocre.  Short arms.  Pro quality everything, but nothing dazzling.  Consistently good, never great.  Good role model until his better half started preaching and deleting on the forums - I think that hurt him tremendously.
