China has been the diving superpower for quite some time now. They should sweep all the golds this year around.

China and the US are the sport superstars of the world, Germany wont be close again in the foreseeable future

Meanwhile, the USA hasn't been good nor cared about diving for a decade now while it's arguably one of the most popular sports in China.

I believe the USA men beat China by 31 today, and it's estimated that 300 million people play basketball in China. Talk about having a gigantic talent pool to draw from and still sucking hard.

I know, it seems they are back to their "old ways" Putin is certainly the one still calling the shots and using the South Osettia "revolt" as an excuse to invade Georgia as well. A little nervous about them possibly joining NATO in the future? Putin def. wants to send a clear signal to all those that may be thinking the same way...

Imagine what our gold count would be if we were willing to abuse our kids that way.

Your a little off base there with the choosing athletes at 4 and 5 years old and the all day training, but you keep on beleaving what you want if it makes you feel good ( though it's bullshit)

Hahaha, they were showing how they pick the gymnasts last night during the Chinese women's gymnastics qualifying. At three years old they take them all into a gym and bend them and do a bunch of shit and the most flexible ones get put into the gymnastics program where they pretty much leave their families and train 6-8 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next 13 years until they can compete. All that just to stand a chance of beating the US.
