Palumbo had the balls to walk away from the trappings of the medical fraternity.  Yes, he decided to return to his roots...the gym. 

Palumbo is more 'street' than many think. 

Palumbo is not going to let anyone forget that he 'could' have been a doctor.  For the rest of his life he will be telling anyone who will listen that he dropped out of 'medicine' to pursue 'bodybuiliding'.

Dave is a brilliant man.  He was training to be a doctor. His knowledge of bio mechanics and exercise physiology is amazing.

Dave dropped out of his medical degree to pursue his dream of bodybuilding.  He wasn't going to waste his time in lectures and doing boring assignments and exams.  The gym was his training ground.

Yes, Dave is one of brightest!  He got a PHD from the 'school of hard knocks'.  He majored in 'iron' and then went on to  achieve a professorship in 'sport science nutrition' from the 'university of life'.

Palumbo does not want anyone to forget that he actually began studying medicine.  He is incredibly proud of this achievment albeit he dropped-out by the second year.

Look Palumbo had bigger dreams than simply being a doctor.  He wanted to make his mark in the world of Professional Bodybuilding.

Yes, the world lost a potentially brilliant doctor but gained an equally impressive bodybuilder/drug guru.

Despite what many people think, Palumbo is not a registered doctor. He is  a drug guru though.  He learnt his craft from the street not from the ivory bastions of a stuffy university.

Palumbo ditched the medical books and learnt his craft of 'chemical enhancement' the 'real way'.  He liased with the gym-dealing-meatheads and honed his craft from reading the relevant internet sites.

Palumbo made a smart move by dropping out of his medical degree.

Palumbo did not even complete his second year at medical school and yet still garnered enough knowledge to now act as an unsanctioned drug guru. 

Got give the guy his props.  He officially has no formal medical training yet dispenses medical knowledge like he is a Harvard Professor.
