The stuffy and pretentious world of university was not Dave's bag.  He preferred the rough and tumble of the gym.

Dave would have made a brilliant MD.  He has an analytical mind and is a conceptual thinker.  However, bodybuilding was his passion, a love affair if you will. Medicine was a just a short fling, a one night stand.

Who knows where Dave would be today if he did graduate as a doctor.

Exercise physiology and bio mechanics are completely different areas of study than that of a medical doctor-and Palumbo was never even CLOSE to becoming a doctor.

Palumbo turned his back on his medical studies.  Sure he had a brilliant medical mind, however,  bodybuilding was where his heart laid.

Palumbo made a courageous stand when he decided to flush his medical studies down the toilet.  Many thought he was crazy.  Many could not understand why he would sellout his dream of becoming a doctor for the 'sleazy and corrupt sport' that is Professional Bodybuilding.

Well, it looks like Palumbo has had the last laugh.  He is more successful than your average GP and has a huge wealth and fan base to prove it! 

So much for the claim that education is the key to success!
