I saw this too. Text message to all his close supporters. Kinda odd but the younger supporters will love it.
yeah, it's not a bad strategy. He could easily hold a press conference like everyone else. But, recall that his text-message campaign of "today is primary day, go vote for me" was what gave him the win over hilary. In all those states, college kids and 20-30 year olds all got his text message on primary day, and enough of them voted to give him the win.
He'll be reaching people who dont watch CNN very much.
And, he'll use this same text message to remind them on Nov 4th to get up and vote.
So I think it's actually a good idea. It won him the nomination, and now he's endearing his text people that "you knew before everyone else."
